ATC eX is a revolutionary traffic controller designed for multi-application intersection control VISTA, California, August 4, 2009 – McCain Inc., a leading manufacturer and supplier of traffic, parking and transit management solutions, today announced the introduction of the ATC eX NEMA traffic controller. The announcement is made in advance of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) Annual Meeting & Exhibit in San Antonio, Texas, where McCain will demonstrate the technology at booth #419. McCain’s ATC eX series of NEMA controllers provides revolutionary flexibility and control through a single housing that can accommodate TS-2 Type 1 or TS-2 Type 2 applications and is compatible with TS-1 cabinets. This drop-in replacement for existing controller cabinets allows agencies to upgrade to a modern, multi-functioning, standards compliant controller without changing their existing cabinet hardware. McCain’s ATC eX NEMA controller is one of a few currently available in the market that meets the newest NEMA and ATC standards. Built from the standards up and equipped with McCain’s Omni eX Intersection Control software, the ATC eX is NEMA TS-2, ATC 5.2b, and NTCIP 1201/1202 compliant.
