The Recovery Act

In February 2009, President Obama signed the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act, allocating $780 billion dollars to help stimulate the American Economy. Of that, over $100 billion was allocated towards U.S. infrastructure – the largest new investment in our nation’s infrastructure since the construction of the interstate highway system.

In the months following ARRA’s approval, agencies across the nation worked diligently to establish Agency Recovery Plans, publish criteria for awarding Recovery Act funds, and create reporting documents to ensure full accountability and transparency of allocated funds. As your partner in transportation, McCain has established the following website, updated regularly, to act as a central hub for valuable Recovery Act information for the transportation industry.
