2012 marks twenty-five years of providing safe and reliable traffic solutions VISTA, California, January 30, 2012 – McCain Inc., a leading provider of intelligent transportation solutions, is pleased to announce that 2012 will round out its first quarter century in business, and marked the occasion by unveiling a commemorative logo. Since opening its doors in July 1987, McCain’s products and services have become an integral part of the nation’s transportation infrastructure, safely guiding millions of motorists through their daily commutes. McCain Inc., originally McCain Traffic Supply, was founded by electrical contractor Jeffrey L. McCain. With more than a decade of experience installing traffic equipment, McCain realized there was a substantial market for on-time delivery of quality products and began manufacturing traffic signals. In the ensuing years, the company’s production capabilities and product offerings rapidly expanded far beyond its original scope. Today, McCain has produced more than 5.6 million traffic signals, 75,000 traffic cabinets, and 58,000 traffic signal controllers, successfully transforming one entrepreneur’s vision into a globally recognized, industry leader. “Over the past quarter century, the state of the nation’s infrastructure and the transportation industry has changed drastically,” said Jeffrey McCain, founder and CEO of McCain Inc. “What started as a highly saturated market of national companies is now just a handful. We knew that we had to evolve with the industry to avoid being left behind.” “Though there are many factors which have attributed to our success, underlying them all is an unwavering commitment to meet our customers’ needs,” McCain continued. “It is an element that positively affects both our customers and our company, and has carried us through challenging economic times. Agencies now, more than ever, cannot afford to take chances on the longevity of their [product] suppliers. We look forward to continuing to support them for the next quarter century.” To commemorate the company's 25th anniversary, McCain has released a celebratory logo which will be used in conjunction with the standard company logo throughout the year. McCain will also host regional events across the nation showcasing the latest in intelligent transportation solutions, introduce a series of educational webinars, and has plans to publicly unveil its newest 100,000-square-foot LEED-certified manufacturing facility.
