McCain Receives the California Department of Transportation Contract for Fifteen Hundred 2070 Controllers
-New Traffic Signal Controllers to Improve Overall Traffic Flow in California-
VISTA, California, September 16, 2008 – McCain Inc., a leading manufacturer and supplier of traffic management solutions nationwide, today announced that the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has awarded McCain a contract to provide over fifteen hundred 2070 Controllers for the State of California.

McCain’s advanced traffic management system controller, 2070, is a ruggedized, multi-tasking field processor and communication system that is easily configurable for traffic control operations. The 2070 Controller was developed to assist traffic flow for mild to complex traffic patterns. The unit conforms to Caltrans 2002 Transportation Electrical Equipment Specification (TEES) and Erratum 1 and Erratum 2 Specifications.
