McCain’s Variable Speed Limit Sign (VSLS) provides the ability to display various speed limits at different times to en-route motorists through a comprehensive set of user configurations. Strategically placed, these signs improve overall traffic flow and safety within your jurisdiction. Commonly used VSLS applications include lower speed limits in school zones and construction zones. Another important use is along highways and streets where it has been determined that adjusting speed limits to specific times of the day yields smoother fl owing traffic patterns. McCain’s Variable Speed Limit Signs are fully compatible with National  Transportation Communications for ITS Protocol (NTCIP) and National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) TS4 standards.
