SWARCO McCain is proud to announce the launch of the new ATC FLeX® II Controller, engineered to give agencies greater flexibility, enhanced performance, and long-term adaptability as transportation networks continue to evolve. Built on the success of the widely adopted FLeX Controller Series, the ATC FLeX II Controller exceeds the ATC 5201 Standard while combining powerful ARM processing capabilities, open architecture, and intuitive usability on a reliable platform.
"As transportation networks become increasingly complex, cities are looking to invest in new technology that can evolve alongside their operational requirements and cybersecurity," said Tom Stiles, VP of Traffic Systems Engineering for SWARCO McCain. "The ATC FLeX II Controller provides the performance, flexibility, and interoperability needed to support agencies, both big and small."

Available in four form factors, the ATC FLeX II Controller operates seamlessly in ATC, Caltrans, and NEMA cabinet environments, allowing agencies to modernize infrastructure without costly upgrades or replacements. Its standards-based architecture helps simplify integration while supporting both SWARCO McCain's Omni eX® Intersection Control Software and third-party software applications. Built for flexibility and adaptability, the controller supports a wide range of deployment scenarios, including rack-mount and shelf-mount options for both ATC and Caltrans cabinets.
"The ATC FLeX II Controller provides a foundation for modernization and growth with an expansion-ready architecture that accommodates future technologies and changing needs," added Stiles. "Faced with evolving operational and cyber-security demands, agencies require modern technology at the roadside that meets the ITS industry's rugged life-cycle expectations. The new ATC FLeX II Controller provides both. It doesn't limit options; it expands them."
