Prerelease notice of Omni eX 3.4.0.89
9/28/2022
Dear Valued Omni Customers
In the coming weeks we will be releasing a new version of Omni eX software. Preceding the release, the Virtual Controller will be updated to this version for everyone’s review of what is to come. We welcome you to put the virtual controller to use and test some of your most complicated data bases. We are confident that we have provided a robust and well tested software for this release, but we also know we can’t test everything and that is the reason we are asking for your help and feedback.
You will also notice a new feature call Red Light Protect amongst other smaller features and updates. This is a design that was implemented to comply with many of the Vision Zero initiatives. It provides a way to help protect an intersection from a possible incident due to a driver running a red light. Soon we will be setting up a webinar to explain it’s use and how to configure it. The online manual explains how to set it up if you want to try it out.
You are receiving this email now to notify you to save whatever work you are doing in the Virtual Controller as the conversion will temporarily take down the service. Your databases should remain, but as a precaution it would be wise to save your VC database onto your computer. You will receive another email notifying you when the Virtual controller with 3.4.0.89 is up and running.
Thank you for your support and understanding and we hope you like what we have worked so hard towards.
Best Regards,
Matt Zinn
