The City of Oceanside marks Smart City Technology advancement with the introduction of OPTIPARK Parking Guidance System complete with dynamic variable message signs to an under utilized downtown parking garage. OPTIPARK PGS will allow drivers to check parking availability before they even leave the house on the City website. The VMS will then display real-time information on where the available spaces are, freeing up time and eliminating frustration when trying to find a coveted parking spot.

This new venture is beneficial for ATSSA as traffic signal equipment will be involved in ITS, CAV, pedestrian and bicyclist safety, and more throughout the roadway safety industry.
